Lasagna recipe in the Italian way

Lasagna is a kind of very popular sheet pasta all over the world, which is prepared with various recipes. The basic lasagna recipe is prepared with ingredients such as minced meat, mushrooms and bechamel sauce. How to make lasagna sauce

Lasagna

Milk: one cup

White flour: one tablespoon

Butter: 25 grams

Salt and nutmeg: 1.4 teaspoons

first stage

To prepare the lasagna sauce or the white bechamel sauce, first, take the butter and milk out of the refrigerator so that they adjust to the ambient temperature. Next, sift the white flour twice (it is better to use pastry flour), then fry it in a suitable pan on low heat until the rawness of the flour is removed.

second stage

At this stage, pour the butter into a deep dish and put it on very low heat until the butter melts. Then add the flour that you fried in the previous step to the butter and fry a little. Then add salt and nutmeg and continue roasting until the butter and flour mixture is caramelized.

third level

At this stage, add the milk that has reached the ambient temperature little by little to the flour and butter mixture and stir the ingredients continuously until the sauce reaches a sufficient concentration. When the sauce is thick enough, remove it from the heat and set it aside to cool.

Ingredients for preparing lasagna

Lasagna sheet: one package

Minced meat: 400 grams

Pizza cheese: 150 grams

mushroom; 100 grams

Tomato paste: 2 tablespoons

Onions: 2 medium ones

Garlic: 2 cloves

Bell pepper: one

Enough oil and thyme

Enough salt and black pepper

Before starting work, it is better to turn the oven to heat it you have. For this purpose, turn on the oven at 180 degrees Celsius until it heats up. Next, you need to prepare the ingredients for the lasagna.

second stage

At this stage, chop the bell pepper and the mushroom into fine pieces and set aside. Next, chop the onions into small pieces and fry them in a pan with a little liquid oil until the onions become completely soft and light. Now chop the garlic very finely and add it to the onion. After frying a little, add the minced meat to the garlic and onion mixture. Fry the minced meat well until it changes color and is fried.

Next, add mushrooms and capsicum and continue frying until mushrooms and capsicum are also fried. Then, add the tomato paste along with a little thyme to the ingredients and fry well until the raw smell of the tomato paste is removed.

The fourth stage

After roasting the ingredients well, add a glass of water to the pan and close the lid of the pan to cook the meat on a gentle heat. The pan should be kept on heat until the water evaporates completely. After the lasagna mixture is ready, put it aside and start preparing the lasagna sheets.

You don’t need to put the lasagna sheets in boiling water; just fill a large bowl with lukewarm water and put the lasagna sheets in the bowl for 3 minutes until they soften. I use 300g Manna lasagna because it softens easily in lukewarm water and is very tasty. It is better to put the lasagna sheets one by one in the dish so that they do not stick together when they become soft.

The fifth stage

After the lasagna sheets are ready, choose a suitable dish like Pyrex and grease the bottom and inner body with liquid oil. Next, pour some bechamel sauce on the bottom of the dish so that the béchamel sauce covers the bottom of the dish.

The sixth stage

At this stage, we place one of the lasagna sheets on the bottom of the dish on the béchamel sauce, pour some of the minced meat mixture on the lasagna sheet, and smooth it with the back of a spoon so that it is spread evenly in all parts of the lasagna sheet. It is better to increase the number of lasagna layers instead of putting a large amount of meat sauce between each layer of lasagna so that the lasagna sauce does not come out between the sheets after cooking.

The seventh stage

After spreading the meat on the lasagna sheet, pour some béchamel sauce on the meat and then pour some pizza cheese on the béchamel sauce to make the sheets stick together. In the same way, fill the dish with lasagna sheets, meat sauce, bechamel sauce, and pizza cheese.

The eighth stage

At the end, a sheet of lasagna should be placed on the dish, which should be filled with plenty of sauce so that they do not dry out during cooking. Then cover the top of the lasagna with plenty of pizza cheese and put it in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes until the lasagna is ready to serve.

If you make lasagna in a simple way, the color of the lasagna sheets will turn pale yellow after cooking. If you want the color of the lasagna sheets to be bright yellow and finally more beautiful, just add a little turmeric to the boiling water when boiling the lasagna sheets.

Suitable meat for lasagna

Minced meat is usually used to prepare lasagna, although, in some recipes, minced meat is also used to prepare lasagna. The important thing about lasagna meat is that it should be low in fat. Suppose you use minced meat to prepare this dish. You should use very low-fat meat because this dish has pizza cheese and is too fatty, so it is better to use low-fat meat.

How to cut lasagna

One of the most important points about lasagna is cutting it, which many beginners have a problem with. As you know, the material that binds the lasagna sheets together is pizza cheese, which easily falls off if the cheese is hot.

So, for the pizza cheese to set a bit, you should leave it aside for about 15 minutes after the lasagna is ready to cool and the pizza cheese to set, then cut it with a sharp knife. Another point is that you must cut the lasagna in the same dish you have you have prepared and not take out of the dish for cutting.
